The Mindless Mind

When we are very busy we tend to make some decision which we regard afterwards. I call it the mindless mind state. In this state of mind we are so much preoccupied that we tend to forget very important things. We tend to ignore important people thus damaging our own image and our very dear relationships. 

SO it is of utter importance that we give the due places to all parts of our lives. No aspect should dominate the other. Work, family, fun and chilling these all are very very important and these all make up a healthy life style. Being a workaholic or fun-holic are both two extremes which may destroy our life. SO balance is the key. 

Returning Back

Tomorrow I'll return back from Karachi with my wife and kid and will get observed into circles of daily routines. This time Karachi's tour was unforgettable. I didn't go to any market place  or sea side, but I got most precious gift from Allah Almighty i-e my son. 

So now it simply doesn't matter that I don't belong to Karachi. Karachi's name is forever attached to my son as his birth place. Sooooo!!!! KARACHI ROCKS :-D

A New Life

I used to hear that life will be changed forever when you will become Dad. You will not think for yourself but your offspring and you will truly understand the meaning family first. Is it so!!! Well right now may be to early for me to answer as my son is only 10 days old but still in back of my mind I keep thinking about him. I do get uneasy when I listen his cry. 


New Life or not, Its a great change in my Life. :)

Baby Boy Named :)

We have named the baby boy as "Arham", Meaning Very merciful.

He is so cute Muah muah. Only bad thing is his sleeping cycle. He sleeps all the day and then we stay awake all the night. :)

Baby Having Fever :(

Yesterday we got our baby vaccinated and he is having fever from then. Crying a lot and not sleeping. We have taken him to 5 different doctors including a child specialist but all are of the view that we are over cautious as he is our first child. According to them all is OK with the baby. But we just can't accept the idea that fever etc is all normal and do nothing. :(

Afridi to Rescue

Batting of Pakistani Cricket team Sucked today and so did the batting of Pakistani Skipper Shahid Khan Afridi. But when it Cames to Bowling Afridi Rocked. Afridi's took 5 wickets for the second time in this world cup.

When Pakistan's Team was bowled out on 184 runs only. I thought here it is, we are ganna loose from Canada. and for a moment while Canadian were batting my fear was taking the shape of reality. But then BOOM BOOM Afridi's did BOOM BOOM. Shahid Afridi was on fire.

Inflation Making Lives Miserable

Inflation is making our lives and to be particular my life miserable in Pakistan. I distinctly remember my first pay was Rs 10,000 only five years back and I was able enjoy myself and now I'm getting Rs 30,000 and I am hand to mouth. I do agree that I was single then and my requirement were less but still things have really gotten out of hand.

In 2006 I used to get good quality three meals a day in Rs 70 and now I get similar food in Rs 250 which means more than 300% increase. In 2006 I took my 5 friends to a restaurant to give them a treat and my bill was Rs 1,000 only and few weeks back I took my wife for dinner and bill was Rs 2,500.  

Price hike is effecting each and every commodity and I really hope government has some immediate plan otherwise things might get out of hand. 

The View of Space shuttle from Aircraft

Space Shuttle Discovery took off for its final mission on tuesday last week. All over the world people watched this historical event from their Television sets, few people watched live from the launch pad and even fewer were really lucky to get the view of the shuttle from the skies.

The flight from Orlando, Florida to Richmond, Virginia got an unexpected treat. Passengers saw the Shuttle on the right-side of the plane. One of the passenger named Neil showed a great presence of mind when he made the movie of space shuttle from his iPhone. Great job Neil !!!

In the back ground you can listen to the people being happy that the flight got delayed and they got the chance to witness this awesome event.

If you listen hard you can also hear a joke cracked by the captain of aircraft. He said "People if you're sitting on the right-side of the aircraft you can see the space shuttle, and if you're on the left side of the aircraft you can see people on the right-side looking at the space shuttle"

Work Work Work !!!

Job is going real tough. Work work and work, that is all what I do now a days. Because of visits of some higher ups the workload is immense. Fun time is almost nonexistent and I haven't been able to workout . This routine is going on from couple of week and will continuous for couple more. 

But as we say that it is all part and parcel of life and we have to cope with tough days only then we we will grow as a person and become successful.

Time has a great quality, Weather its bad time or good, It passes. 

So I really hope that is busy time will pass like a flash and I'll return to my normal daily life. 

New Zealand Earthquake

Nearly 400 people dead or missing in Christchurch, New Zealand. I was heartbroken to hear the news. Human life is very precious may it be of White, Black or colored. 

Prime Minister John Key declared national emergency after New Zealand's worst natural disaster and called the day as worst in the History of that Country. 

I wish that this tough time pass quickly for New Zealanders and Hope that they will cope with is disaster very bravely. 

I am horrified to see these images. :(

Raymond Davis and Pakistan

Raymond Davis

On a street in Lahore three people died, two shot and one crushed, this incident sparked a chain of events that have great regional and global gravity. Mr. Shah Mehmood Qureshi, whose denial to recognise Davis as a diplomat became ex-foreign minister. An additional victim is the trilateral meeting among Pakistan, Afghanistan and the US which were scheduled for 23-24 February – but not any longer. The motive for the ‘postponement’ is said to be because of ‘political changes’ in Pakistan. American officials in Pakistan have stated quite openly that there will be no high-level dialogue until the release of the Raymond Davis. 

There has not been an attack by drones anywhere in Pakistan since Mr. Davis was arrested, It is said that US thought that continuing the drone attacks was going to make a bad circumstances even worse. Another casualty may be the meeting between President Zardari and President Obama. Cancellation of this meeting would be diplomatic equivalent of having a shoe thrown at you. There were reports that Pakistani ambassador to Washington was warned of a possible break in diplomatic relations unless Mr.  Davis was released. President Obama today said while answering a question that Senator John Kerry has been sent to Pakistan with very strong message.

So this incident has become an incident of great national and international importance. If Mr. Davis is released there will be problem nationwide otherwise there might be sanctions by United States.

Nostradamus Predicted Revolution in Egypt ......... Really???

There was a revolution is Egypt but more shocking is the fiction that Nostradamus predicted it.  As we wait for the chaos to subside a bit, with the future of many Arab governments still very uncertain, lets analyze what Nostradamus had said about the events unfolding today.

Nostradamus made predictions about future throughout his life that would remain even today.  The predictions have been criticized for their ambiguity, praised for their accurateness, and usually circulated in times of insecurity to direct those looking for answers on relating events.  And now with the revolution in Egypt what he said was.


"The false trumpet concealing madness
will cause Byzantium to change its laws.
From Egypt there will go forth a man who wants
the edict withdrawn, changing money and standards."

As with earlier predictions made by Nostradamus, this one does not use precise terms but hides quite a few details behind rhythmical use of language.  The false trumpet could be many things, but it has a usage as a message projected over space to numerous people.  So this may be television broadcast, a speech, or anything that comes in mind.  But when we talk about false trumpet that conceals a great madness, for me it becomes great demonstrations.

Byzantium was a city of the Roman Empire.  It is commonly thought that United States is today’s Roman Empire; US the "New" Rome.  Another interpretation may be that, Byzantium became Constantinople or Istanbul (Turkey) as we call it today.  It was the place where US evacuating diplomats from the Egyptian Embassy.  Also recently nuclear talks between six major world powers and Iran were held at Byzantium (Istanbul).  

It's also likely that this revolution could have a key impact on international economic policies as mentioned in last two verses.  Is it the end of paper based currency or just change in Egyptian currency is something we will see in the coming weeks, but one thing is for sure.  This all is strange.

Now to the part that what do I feel about it. I feel this all Nostradamus thing is just fiber of our imagination; we tend to link all major events to his predictions. If all of his prediction were so true, so accurate, so wonderful then why didn’t we were able to point out any of his predictions before the event happened and  told the world that we are going to see twin towers go down soon. So I am not able to convince myself that Nostradamus knew what he was talking about. 

Karachi's Situation

Last night I was an eye opener for me as far as situation in Karachi is concerned. I was celebrating my wedding anniversary and invited two of my friends. Just before leaving their place they called me (around 7:30pm). So I was expecting them around 8:15pm in Malir Cantt. Then at 8:00pm I text them to give update about my position in BBQ Tonight Malir Cantt. There was no replay from them.

I became worried because of my ill-perception about Karachi's Situation and gave them a call. To bring my fears to reality cell phones of both my friends were not responding. I asked my father-in-law about any places in Karachi where cell signals might be weak, answer was negative as he told me that Karachi was well covered my mobile companies. 

In a mean while I received a phone call from the family of one of my friends, they were worried for the same reason and were asking me about my friend's whereabout. I was totally blank and tried to calm them down and told them that I'll update them about him as soon as I'll know anything. 

Mean while it was 9:00pm and I was myself losing my calm and decided to contact authorities. This was first time I came to know the importance of having emergency services numbers because next 15 mins I was searching the numbers. To my further astonishment when I called concerned person ( I'll not name the person here ) answer was:

I am not their personnel body guard and I am not supposed to look for persons in the jungle

WTF.....................

At about 9:30pm my friends did make an entrance and I first of all gave them my piece of mind (**@*^!#*$%*) Then they told us that they were looted by Robbers in a traffic blockage. There were three to four people having firearms and they threatened to kill them and took all their belongs from cell phones, money to Identity Cards. We immediately called their families and told them about the safety of them. 

My dear friends especially my blogger friend Muhammad Hamza, Dudes there may be only 10 deaths and may be only 100 to 200 street crimes in Karachi in a day, This all may be normal for you but a single incident like this is not at all normal for me. I really felt the heat to the situation yesterday and I might not able to shake the image off my head anytime soon.

Going to Karachi : For First Marriage Anniversary

I'll be leaving for Karachi to celebrate my First Marriage Anniversary. Though I am exited to rejoin my wife but still I am little bit apprehensive about situations in Karachi.

But still inside Karachi Malir Cantt is the most peaceful place so While hoping that situation will be perfect during my visit, I can still celebrate to the fullest in Malir Cantt. :-D

Second Chance

An American on Rampage in Pakistani Soil

Things are getting greatly out of hand in Pakistan. A U.S. consular employee fatally shot two Pakistani men and another American vehicle at the scene hit and killed a passer-by and injured many.

I don't know whether first two were really trying to Rob American diplomat or not but the fact remains that both of them were shot from behind which make the plea of self defence highly suspicious. Furthermore if he was on the right then why didn't he called Pakistani Police to clarify the whole situation, instead he tried to flee and his movie of an non successful escape is available in which he did not stop while Traffic Police tried to stop him. 

A Pakistani woman Aafia Siddiqui was sentenced by the US judge to 86 years in prison because she allegedly did an armed assault on U.S. officers in which nobody was hurt but Aafia herself. Here an American has killed two Pakistani Nationals in Pakistan in broad daylight. 

This will be a real test for our leader to prove that they are independent of US pressure. If they are able to pursue murder charges against a U.S. consular employee they will win the hearts of whole nation otherwise they will prove that they are bunch of impotent lot.

Sometimes I really feel helpless. :-(

Today is my wife's first Birthday after we got married and Alas I can't be with her.

It is sometime very difficult to stay apart in such an early time of the marriage but as it is said everything is not in the control of us, SO when we can't do anything about it then we devise a plan to live with it.

Pineapple Cake by My Wife

I was crawling through photos and came across the photo of a PINEAPPLE CAKE made my my wife sometime back.

Man it was yummy.

This is only one of the wonderful foods she made for me and believe me all of them [ Excluding vegetable as I am carnivorous ;-) ] were delicious.

 I miss you so much wify and wish this time to pass quickly so that we be together. 

Skiing

I love skiing it is my Passion. Ever since I have learned to ski, I just fell in love with it. The trill of moving fast, sound of wind passing by your side and mind-blowing beauty it is nothing but life changing experience.

The rush of blood and one time hesitation is an awesome feeling of skiing. Though I am only Amateur but still I won't miss any chance to ski.

My first Night Duty

On 17 Jan 2007 i did first night duty of my job. Now it over four years but i can still remember the night. 


It was cold night, working conditions were not very sound and because of the old equipment, even in January Air Conditioners were on. So I was freezing.


12 hours of duty from 7:30 pm to 7:30 am …………………………… it was quite tough and I thought how will I manage it. But 4 years later here I am still surviving after many night duties  :-D

Attack Of Viruses

My dear Computer is under attack by viruses and i am getting fed up from these buggers.

First of all Viruses delete my antivirus. Then i formatted my computer.

I tried to get Norton Anti Virus from the market and what did i get ; dam trial version that too of 15 days. I guess even that was not enough i made system very slow. Despite of that i tried to run its Scan and got a wonderful result : ” A Hanged Computer” . I just got rid of this Anti Virus and my system still loaded with viruses , this all is making my life quite difficult.

Hey anyone can tell me about any good anti virus and from where i can get it. PLEASE

Shifting of Home : not as simple as it sounds

I was in Islamabad for the weekend, though I was quite tough as my family was shifting home but still spending time with family is always a great way to shed all worries and feel great.

Starting from Friday till late Sunday we were working like hell and still new home was giving a view of shabby warehouse. While I am confident that whenever I’ll come to visit home again it will be in perfect shape, but the mere fact that shifting is so much hectic job opened my eyes to this reality.

When we are shifting from one city to another then we pack all our luggage properly, load it on truck and then move out but in above mentioned case when we shift within a city we tend not to follow this formula. Exactly what happened in our scenario. So shifting with luggage not properly pack is greatly hectic. We have to make many trips from old to new home. And in the ends still small items are lift behind and have to make another trip for them. When moving out carpets come out last (after removing furniture etc) but they have to be put in first. So it do cause lots of inconvenience.

Life is a changing experience and those of us who utilize this experience in a positive way are bond to succeed and vice versa. I hope to be among those who learn from experiences of others because one will have to learn harsh realities of life.

My Mind ........ thrown out of kilter

I was sitting with my head down.............. drowned in perturb thoughts!!!

Actually you can very well comprehend from the above line that my mind was going wild with all type of random thoughts. I was actually thinking what to think. TV was running in the back ground, Seated in front of heater, tried from all days activities and my mind was wandering here and there. Out in all these disarray suddenly thought of dinner came to my mind. But instead I got glued to news knowing that will only bring dissatisfaction. I know there was no causality in this case but as i said my mind was going perturb.

Anyway; to clear my mind; I had a good dinner and to seal my mind out of wildness I will sleep in a while.

And yes dinner was yummy :-D
